Tap below on your iPhone. It opens TestFlight — Apple’s official app for betas. If you don’t have it, the link will offer it to you first (it’s free), then install Jiak Simi.

Install via TestFlight

Heads up: beta builds update often. TestFlight will nudge you when there’s a new one — please take it, it usually means I fixed something you told me about.

Android

Two steps

Google’s rules, not mine — about 3 minutes

1

Join the tester group. Google only lets people install if they’re on my list, and this is how you get on it.

2

Become a tester, then install from the Play Store as normal.
Become a tester

Please stay in the test for two weeks. Google requires 12 testers to stay opted in for 14 days straight before I’m allowed to launch publicly. You don’t need to open the app every day — just don’t leave the test. Uninstalling is fine; tapping “leave the program” is what resets the clock.

Android: use the Google account that’s on your phone

Not your work email, not whatever your laptop browser is signed into. Check it by opening the Play Store and tapping your profile photo in the top right. A mismatch is the number one reason the install fails with “item not found” — and it looks like the app is broken when it isn’t.

What would help most

No formal testing plan, no bug report template. Just eat, and tell me when the app is wrong.

1

Use it for real

Next time you’re standing around going “anything lor” — ask it first. It’s built for that exact moment, so that’s where it’ll show its cracks.

2

Argue with the recommendations

Every pick comes with a match score and a reason. Tell me when the reason doesn’t hold up, or when it serves you something you’d never eat. The wrong ones are worth more to me than the right ones.

3

Rate what you’ve eaten

The engine learns from ratings, not from the quiz alone. Around ten places in, it starts to actually know you — and that’s the part I most need tested.

Singapore only, for now

Restaurants and hawker stalls in Singapore. If you’re testing from overseas it won’t have much to say to you yet — sorry, and thank you for the interest anyway.

Not up for testing a half-built thing? Fair enough — join the waitlist and I’ll tell you the moment it’s properly live.
